MDI Community Sailing
Southwest Harbor
Mount Desert Island, Maine

Adult ProgramsMount Desert Island has been called the most beautiful island in the world. What better place to learn to sail? MDICSC’s adult lessons are geared for novices as well as those with some experience, however rusty. There are also private lessons, and coed and women’s sailing classes. When your skills have become proficient, you can take out a center boat, and enjoy MDI from it’s most beautiful vantage point, the water. Sailing is a sport that can last a lifetime, and it is never too late to start.

Pre registration is required for ALL Adult Sailing Programs and Independant Sails. We can not plan ahead to have sufficient staff and boats available if we do not know you are coming.

Private Lessons can be scheduled in advance by contacting our office at 207 244 7905 or email info@mdisailing.org The standard private Lesson rate is $85 per hour for one person and $100 per hour for two people per lesson. Larger private group lesson rates are available on a sliding scale fee.
